Amazon sent me a USED controller. Why would they do that? Because - obviously - the original purchaser (or purchasers, as the case may be) found a defect, and now they hope to pawn it off on me. Obviously, Amazon is part of the 1% that could give a flying flip about what the FTC regards as NEW when an item is advertised as NEW.

When can a company advertise a product as "new"?

The answer depends on how the ad uses the word "new." For example, under the rules governing the identification of textiles, fabric cannot be advertised as "new" if it has been reclaimed or respun. The rules governing advertising claims for tires prohibit the use of the word "new" to describe retreads. However, when no specific regulation applies, each case must be considered within the context of the ad. At least one FTC advisory opinion has suggested a six-month limit on the use of the word when advertising the introduction of a "new" product not previously on the market.

When you take an item that has been returned by a customer and resell it, that is the item being 'reclaimed'.

Amazon lies - that's all there is to it. If you buy from Amazon, be SURE to specify UNOPENED in your shipping instructions (not that I think that Amazon will care what you write there, but at least you'll have legal recourse).

I am in love with my TV. I had compared this product against Vizio, Sony and Samsung. I believe this was best for the specs I wanted. I am not a pro on TV technology so this is based on experience of a lay-man. I am sure professional review would help you to understand how it better but I just want good TV experience.

So with disclaimers above my experience:
- Clear picture quality and good contrast. I did not like the contrast on Vizio TV. Samsung came close. Sony had poor refresh rate (always felt a little drag). I had checked all these brand at Target and so I knew exactly what I was looking for.
- Sound is -1 star. It does not have clear sound so I have to listen at high volume. I just ordered good pair of speakers that works very well for me.

Best part was the price. I ordered it on Warehouse deals and I got almost new like TV well packed and new condition. I was glad I didn't insist on new packaging and trust Warehouse Deals ratings.

I purchased this tv for my front room. . It was easy to set up, I put on the base and plugged in my Comcast dvr and was up and running in about 15 minutes. I did have to adjust the picture from the factory setting, but thats a personal preference. This is a nice tv for the price, very happy with it. amazon shipping was great, got the tv the day after I ordered it. Luckily I was home for the delivery, UPS needs a signature, so keep that in mind when ordering.

Superhero

Who’s your favorite superhero? Does he (or she – there are a few) have a movie deal yet? Or a TV show? I’ll speak up for Wonder Woman. The whole Amazonian woman concept always appealed to me. When I was a kid I remember thinking it would be fun to go to the Amazon and see all those strong, powerful women. These days, I see them all around me.
